Australian Consumer Law (ACL) — Your rights

Under the ACL, consumers have guarantees for goods and services that cannot be excluded. These include acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and services performed with due care and skill. Nothing in our terms affects your ACL rights.

  • Services: Remedy if not supplied with due care and skill.
  • Goods: Remedies for major failures (refund/replacement) and minor failures (repair).
  • Statutory guarantees apply in addition to any warranties we provide.

Refunds, cancellations and deposits

We aim to be fair. For design services:

  • Initial consultations charged as set on invoice — non-refundable where work has commenced.
  • Deposits secure booking; deposit refunds are considered case-by-case where cancellations are made with reasonable notice.
  • If work is faulty or not provided, ACL remedies apply (repair, replacement, refund).

For product purchases, our returns policy complements your ACL rights — see detailed conditions below in the accordion.

Detailed policies

If a product is defective or not as described, contact us within a reasonable time. We will assess and, where required by ACL, offer a repair, replacement or refund. Proof of purchase is required.

All design work, images, text and materials provided by Trendlounge remain our intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing. Clients are granted a licence to use deliverables for the agreed project only. Reuse or resale requires written permission.

To the extent permitted by law, Trendlounge's liability for loss or damage is limited to the cost of the services supplied. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. These limits do not apply to non-excludable ACL rights.

Dispute resolution

We aim to resolve concerns quickly. Steps:

  1. Contact Trendlounge at Trendlounge@gmail.com or call +61 42 975-83-01 with details.
  2. If unresolved, we will offer internal escalation and a goodwill resolution within 14 days of notice.
  3. If still unresolved, you may seek assistance from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) or your state consumer protection agency (e.g., Consumer Affairs Victoria).

Governing law: Australia. These processes do not limit your ACL rights.
